Guest guest
I like Silk very much, but it seems to curdle in my coffee.... ( xoxoRobyn Genny, that sounds delicious!!! My wife likes Silk Chocolate blended with a banana and some ice. I prefer Silk's flavor and 8th Continent's texture. Silk Vanilla--or better yet, the Very Vanilla--is also good. Blessed be, Jayelle Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and that last fish has been caught will we realize that we can't eat money. - Cree Proverb
Guest guest
oh... never used instant coffee... I am in the west, The Land Of The Coffee Snobs. ) but that explains it, thanks! xoxoRobyn Robyn, I have never had Silk Chocolate curdle in the coffee. Don't add soy milk to a hot liquid. I always start with the Silk cold, add the instant coffee, sugar and vanilla , stir until disolved then either heat it in a pan on the stove or in the microwave. Do not boil. Guest guest
Katie, I too advised Tabitha to try Silk Chocolate . It is fantastic and the children will love it. Good transition 'milk'...It is good on organic dry cereal which children love. I make a great Coffee-Chocolate using Silk Chocolate Soy Milk. I fill a mug with Silk Chocolate Milk, add 1 tablespoon instant decaf coffee, 1 teas. cane sugar and a little vanilla extract. This drink is great hot or cold. This is my calm-down and relax drink for the end of the day. Smiles and hugs Deanna

Guest guest
I must take another look at 8th Continent. They were adding D3 which is animal based (from fat from sheep wool). However I have read that they now use D2 and not D3. D2 is plant based, I believe. Gary --- Jayelle <jayelle3 wrote: > Genny, that sounds delicious!!! Guest guest
) I am a Native San Franciscan, now living in Sacramento. Once when I was younger, one of my roommate's parents came to visit from South Dakota for 2 weeks. They brought a tiny bottle of Folgers' (never used more than half of the jar for the whole 2 weeks) Besides many things that confounded us, was that you could see through the coffee in the coffee pot! I don't know who thought who was more alien, them or us! In the city of fine restaurants, in fact, we had 11 on that block, they'd stay home and eat frozen pizza. Which also freaked us out.... sigh... xoxoRobyn Robyn, I too live in the West and grew up on 'camp fire coffee' .Yikes! I cannot tolerate caffein so I opt for one cuppa per day of instant. Please don't tell the " coffee snobs " . Guest guest
One of the reasons I did not actually start drinking coffee on a regular basis until I was in my late 20's was because of my parents allowing me to drink to instant coffee in a hotel room in which we were staying when I was in my early teens. It was not something which drew me to repeat the taste sensation. In my late 20's I moved to California from the midWest. There were places with freshly roasted beans and freshly brewed coffee. This was something quite different. I now buy freshly roasted beans, grind at home and do not boil my coffee. Yes, indeedy, I guess I'm one of those. Of course, everyone likes different foods and foods prepared in different ways. It might become a very boring world if that were not the case. ;<) Gary --- TruNatrschild wrote: > > > oh... never used instant coffee...
