Guest guest
I have a serious intolerance for soy. Anything with more than a small amount of soy gives me lower-GI problems (I'm trying to be delicate here). Does anyone else have the same problem - or am I just an oddball? Guest guest
My Mother has the same problem. Like Guru mentioned soy takes longer to digest. I buy rice milk and Rice Dream ice cream for her. Now I can open the tofu package and eat the whole think plain, no problems. Donna " deidrewarner " <deidrewarner wrote: I have a serious intolerance for soy. Guest guest
Nope, you're not an oddball. Soy allergies/intolerances are more common than most people think. My 20 month old ds is allergic to soy, w/ the exception of soy lechithin and soy oil as those do not have intact soy protein in them. If he eats anything w/ soy, depending on the amount, his reactions range from GI issues, to hives and vomiting. So nope, you're not alone --Stacee

My BIL is like that. My sister tried to come up with some lower fat stuff of the (few) dishes he likes (they are not veg)... but the soy about killed him.
