Guest guest
Hi Kristen, Welcome in here with us. I became a vegetarian over 25 years ago overnight. My ex would eat all vegetarian meals and loved them, he ate his non-veg. meals during business meetings, potlucks at work, when he was out or at his Mom's house if he was in the area and would run by during the day. I did cook some non-veg. meals for him at times. Not getting enough protein is something doctors try to make you believe if they find out you are vegetarian, believe me you will have better health as a vegetarian and making sue you incorporate grains, beans, legumes, nuts, veggies and fruits into your diet. Please visit the recipe files and I'll bet you find plenty in there to cook. There's even a folder set up for recipes kids like. Donna Messenger with Voice. Guest guest
Hi Donna, Sorry to interrupt but something you wrote made me want to. I became vegetarian overnight too. I haven't heard of too many people who do it that way, I mean maybe it happens more than I know. I have just heard more stories of it happening over time or people think about it. I know one night I went to bed vegetarian and the next day I stopped eating meat cold turkey(no pun intended) I just decided I had one too many disgusting pieces of meat and chicken. Thanks for letting me interrupt. Liz Donnalilacflower <thelilacflower wrote: Hi Kristen, Welcome in here with us. I became a vegetarian over 25 years ago overnight. That was 18 years ago and I've just convinced the family that I wouldn't suddenly drop dead from lack of protien or something in the last couple of years. You should have seen my family's panic during my first pregnacy! Now most of them have cut back on meat as well. -Lisa
Guest guest
That is how I feel too! I just can't stand all the disgusting things in meat! And whenever I eat it I put a lot of flavor on it so I can't actually taste the meat. So I started thinking, why in the heck am I even eating this if I have to cover up the taste? I stopped eating meat two days ago. I didn't have any yesterday at all and today so far so good! Kristen
