Guest guest
Mine is mostly chilpote peppers, curry packets, curry paste, I have sooooo many dried beans and lentils but I do eventually use them, quinoa (though I did get a good recipe at Trader Joes recently, just haven't had time), bulghur (I make taboulleh, but haven't lately), coconut milk, sweet & sour cabbage, and hoisin & bean sauce. (DH doesn't like homemade Chinese food as I don't use enough oil). I'll have to try again, or choose a nice quiet day when I can make 2 dinners. We do have 'grading dinners' where it is either 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down'. His tastes are very different than mine, and the kids, while not picky, don't like anything with too much tang. If it is too awful we order a pizza. AmyF

Guest guest
I bought agar agar and have not tried using it yet. Instant mashed potatoes and I don't even like those. Peppercorns and bay leaves, tea and sugar. Portia
Guest guest
http://www.bulkfoods.com/agar_agar.htm I recently bought some too and want to see how it does, when I use fruit juice instead of water to make a Jello type product. This link has some suggestions I want to try. Judy - sparklingdagger Tuesday, May 30, 2006 2:19 PM Re: Round to it Shelf I bought agar agar and have not tried using it yet. Judy - I don't remember the proportions I used, but I once made a lovely gel using a very fruity herbal tea and agar. Might be something worth adding to your experiment options...
