I'm sure it's vegetarian but maybe not vegan since they don't use honey. Maybe I'm wrong but that's what I've been told. I like halvah too but haven't had any for a few years. Guest guest Posted June 2, 2006 Report Share Posted June 2, 2006 The one I got has the following ingredients: Crushed Sesame, corn syrup, sugar, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (cottonseed and soya) cocoa, chocolate, dried egg albumen, natural and artificial flavor, chocolate contains sugar, chocolate, cocoa butter, lecithin (an emulsifier), vanillin (an artificial flavor). I haven't had it in years and years, and I always loved it, so I bought a pack. I would eat it. Now I think I will be on the hunt and I will also look for some baklava, I saw some good recipes in the giles but I'm lazy when it comes to baking. Sometimes you can get 'dolmas' in a deli, stuffed grape leaves as we know them....kebap or kebab is anything on a spit... shish kebab means fatty meat on a spit. Doner kebap is lamb meat on a spit that turns. etc. So there are hundreds of halvahs... xoxoRobyn That is surprising because all the Jewish people ate it?
