what is lovage ??? Question For GARY

Maybe Gary knows, he grows a lot of herbs. I have

never even heard of it, I've never seen it for sale

either at Whole Foods.

Now I want to try lovage, just because I know nothing about it.

Most people in other states don't use epazote. It grows like a weed in

my parents backyard and we put it in beans. Helps cut down on the gas

problem.

There was a wonderful play on Broadway (more years ago than I'd like to

remember) called Lettice & Lovage, both names of the leading women characters.

Naturally, it was allegorical, but afterwards I tried to grow lovage in my herb

garden. I had limited success, because my garden feeds too many non-human

critters. Anyway, it's closest comparison is to celery, but lovage is woodier.
