I was in the cooking store yesterday and found a little set of 3 stainless steel

measuring spoons on a ring. The are " dash, pinch and smidgen " I'm

toooooooooooooooo excited with them. I'm going to try them out by the weekend.

Have you ever seen them before?

Doesn't take much to make me smile.....hahahahaha Donna

I went to an outlet cooking store (which was like

heaven to my best friend and I, cooking geeks as we

both are!) and bought my mom an egg timer for Mother's

Day. It was the cutest egg timer I had ever seen. It

had a chicken with a weird face and the chicken's

stomach held the timer part.

I shoulda gotten one for me. But there should be one

there next year when we take our trip there again.

Oooh, I love looking in the cooking section of any store. I always ask

myself....hmm what could I use that for? I received more appliances

for the holidays (a crock pot and a food dehydrator) and I haven't

used them nearly enough. Plus, I have a rice cooker, a bread machine,

a KitchenAid mixer, a blender, a pressure cooker. Whew, I have a

lot....and I really want a pressure canner, which I found on ebay for

$80 (usually well over $100)!

My favorite measuring cup is from Pampered Chef. It's one device and

one side you measure solids and gooey solids and the other side you

measure liquids. It sits on my window sill for easy access. I have

their measuring spoons which slide to different measurements but I

still love our stainless steel set.

The chicken timer sounds adorable.

*grin* That's good - life should be about finding your smiles where

you can! :-) I've seen them, and once I saw them in a catalog but

they were carved out of wood, in a very rustic fashion.
