Hi Denise,

I take one Rainbow Light women's vitamin a day. They are about $23 for 90 at

Whole Foods or you can buy them online. www.bizrate.com has them for $15 a

bottle, look online as I'm sure Amazon offers a fair price. Good deal for a 3

month supply. They are the only vitamin I have found that doesn't upset my

stomach and there's no gelatin and they are all natural with no dye and easy to

swallow. I eat 3 walnut haves a day for omega-3 and I grind flax seeds in the

blender and sprinkle on top of rice or add to quick breads, usually toss 1/4

cup of ground flax seed and decrease the flour by 1/4 cup when baking.

Hope this bit of news has helped you some. Donna

Recently I haven't felt my normal, healthy self and I feel that I may

need to add vitamins to my diet. One thing that is really missing is

Omega3 fatty acids. I went to a store and actually found some organic

flax seed capsules, but alas the capsules were made with gelatin. I'm

thinking I may need to also take a multi-vitamin.

I'm 35 (no children, except my six cats and a dog) and I've never

taken a multi before so I don't have the habit down. I do drink one

packet of Emergen-C a day, though. I don't smoke, rarely drink, and

drink one 12oz cup of black tea a day. So, overall I live a pretty

healthy life. Just recently I've really been feeling a total lack of

energy and I tire quickly. And I just got over a terrible cold

(mid-May) and I feel something else trying to take over!

So, although I can do research on line, I would love to get any of

your recommendations of websites I could check out with affordable

vitamins, that come in a variety of forms. The reason is that I cannot

swallow those huge pills, which is one reason why I've stayed away

from them for so long.

I have a friend who sells liquid and powder vitamin mixes (through

Market America) and I do buy the Aloe Vera Juice from her, but the

other stuff is pretty spendy.

So, any advice/recommendations is greatly appreciated.

Denise

Thanks for the info, Donna. I'll look up that vitamin brand.

I guess I need to get another grinder. I'm sure James would kill me if

I used his coffee grinder for anything but coffee!

I bought some whole flax seeds a while ago and I do sprinkle them on

things. I especially love some dashes over my broccoli with toasted

sesame oil. But I have heard that ground flax is better for you as

your body can digest it better than the whole. What do you use to

grind? I do keep a bag of nuts at work, last time was soy nuts and

this time roasted/unsalted sunflower seeds. I usually have a handful

of those with my afternoon Emergen-C.

thanks! Denise

Hi Denise,

You're welcome. I hope some of my info helps you regain energy back.

I buy 1/2 lb. bulk flaxseeds and I grind them into in the blender. Only takes a

few seconds. They are the consistency of a wheat flour then. I toss them in

quick breads, sprinkle over rice and my veggies, stir into cooked rice, etc. I

have a high energy flaxseed and zucchini quick bread and I'll post it for you if

you like. It makes a huge popping over loaf and isn't hard to make either. I

cut it in slices and freeze for a quick breakfast bread. I also take Co-enzyme

CQ10 but I have to be careful since I have too much energy so I take that one

early in the morning every other day. Have you tried it? Donna

Yup, Denise... the whole falx goes right on through, undigested.

Unless you're able to chew each seed thoroughly, you're just wasting

the money... so grind away! :-)

I'm gonna have to try the ground flax over broccoli with sesame oil...

sounds really interesting! BTW, ground flax virtually disappears on a

peanut butter sandwich...
