Guest guest
Rub lemon on the lslices and they stay green, Add lemon to guacamole and then put the seed back in the center and it will stay green. If you only use 1/2 an avocado leave the seed in the stored half and rub lemon over it. I'm an avocado maniac, I even make avocado bread.....you know I love them........... I love to use wheat bread for a sandwich, slice avocado and top with radish, cucumber, tomato, onion and spread chunky peabut butter on the other slice of bread. Sounds weird but believe me it's sooooooooooooooo good. Donna Jen Lott <celestial726 wrote: My thought is the taste. They still taste ok? I'd really like to do more with avocados but the browning always concerns me. Jen .... Guest guest
Yes, the lemon works fantastic... the browning happens because of oxidation since the lemon has vitamen c ,a antioxident, it will slow the oxidation down >GeminiDragon <thelilacflower > > >Re: Avocado browning & sandwich ideas?
