Guest guest
Why Katie that was a long wonderful email. Now we know a little more about you. The next month will be a busy one with your move back. I wish you lots of good luck. You might not have a Whole Foods or Trader Joes at your parents home in Va. but I'll bet we can help you come up with many nutricious dishes to keep you on track. I love Fezzik's name and Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies. That was why I asked, I've never heard the name anywhere else before.......Donna budgiegirl2003 <budgiegirl2003 wrote: Nope not too nosy. Fezzik is the name of the giant (played by Andre the giant) in the movie The Princess Bride. I thought it a rather appropriate (and ironic) name choice. I've lived in Germany since August and am moving back July 28th to Ohio, which is the state my university is in, but after a month since I'm in my last semester currently and therefore graduating, I'll be moving back in with my parents in Virginia for a year (living rent free!) and working on grad school apps. Where I end up after that depends on the grad school. There are tons of veggie restaurants and organic food stores in Ohio and next to none in VA but I'm going to try to make do. I've already got a list of places to check out and found a great website...VA veggie society, so maybe I'll end up joining that. I actually ended up becoming veggie by accident, if you can believe it. Back in the US I used to not eat cow but still other meat dishes, but always wanted to be a vegetarian, just never knew how to go about it. Then here in Germany, there is so much veggie food and otpions everywhere (and they always sounded and looked so much better than the other options) and cheaper that I always just ate veggie food. It wasn't until months later that I realized I was eating 95% veggie anyway, I might as well go all out! So I was really veggie without even realizing it heh! So the actual move to vegetarian wasnt very hard, just doing some reading up to learn more about what I was eating and also defining for myself why I was eating the way I was. And since then been quite happy. Lots of fears about vegetarianism (as far as things to eat) in the US but I'm sure I'll manage alright, especially with you guys! One of my first stops in Ohio when I get back is Trader Joes! Unfortunately VA doesnt have any but they have 2 organic stores that I plan on checking out. Ok that was long, sorry. -Katie --- " There is no way to peace; Peace is the way. " Source: A.J. Mustre Mail Mobile Take Mail with you! Check email on your mobile phone. Guest guest
Thanks! There are two organic food stores where I'm moving and I'm hoping to get a job at one. Maybe I'll get a discount Yep I agree it is a great movie. I'm a bit of a movie addict myself heh. And a cookbook addict (but who isn't really?) -Katie , GeminiDragon <thelilacflower> wrote: > Why Katie that was a long wonderful email. Now we know a little more about you. Guest guest
Are you in Germany for studies? What are you studying? Or are you like and exchange student? You may have said but I missed it. Sorry, Robin
Guest guest
I have lived here since August in a Studentenwohnheim (like a dorm but not) and I attend the university here taking classes. I get credit at my university in the states so it is a sort of exchange program, though I am not 'exchanged' with anyone. I study German (this semester mostly literature and history) and art history (this semester hindu indian art). Classes are a lot more intense here though and papers a lot longer and more involved though. I take an aerobics class too here and even that is more intense than any class at a gym i took back in the states! Plus all of my classes (and life, really) is in German so that's a change of pace (a positive one for me). It's easy to type in English because I can correct mistakes but I'm terrible speaking English now! But I love it here and will be very sad to leave. -Katie , " Whittington5 " <critters> wrote: > Are you in Germany for studies? What are you studying? Guest guest
You bet or just remind me. This is a recipe that non-vegetarians will go right after and eat them all up. Guaranteed. (:- ))) Donna budgiegirl2003 <budgiegirl2003 wrote:sure! can i ask you to either hold that recipe for a month or else make sure it gets posted in the files? -Katie " There's a long road behind me; there's a good road ahead.
