Guest guest
Thanks, Donna, I will look for the marinated veggies. I think I will take a veggie/ fruit tray (mango included ). What is rice salad? Yes, you guys here are awesomely helpful! No one I know is vegetarian. NO ONE! I personally like it better than what and the way I was eating before. Overall I feel better. As I stated before it has made cooking more interesting as well. It is weird that once you take control of eating and your body .. other things are easier to control as well! Have you ever tried a rice salad? Oh don't think food idiocy is showing, no way. We are all here to help you figure something out to take along. I'm just so impressed you are doing this when there's no back up with family, the group is so helpful. It can be hard at times but you seem very determined to me. (:- ))) I make egg salad out of tofu with no eggs and you could make lettuce wraps with it. How about a veggie/ fruit tray and some dip? ............Donna J Lyn <poet_atrabilious wrote: I don't know what you mean by the jar marinated veggies. Food idiocy showing again. I just fixed dinner- green leaf lettuce, baby carrots, pickles, tomato, and balsamic vinegrett dressing. I sliced up a mango. I had one last week that was too ripe; it was sweet and yummy. However, the one I had tonight was not as ripe, firmer, and oh so good! So I wrote the poem in between eating the mango and scarfing down the salad. I cannot think of anything new that I have tried since I grilled the seasame tofu earlier this week. I did go to the library though. I checked out some veggie cookbooks. I am trying to figure out what to take to my mom's for the 4th of July. They will be grilling meat which means not much for me to eat. My mom, however, is considering trying more vegetarian means and such. I wanted to take something more than salad, but it has to be easy , yada yada yada. Guest guest
You keep strong and push on and you will find many doors ready to open as you experiment with new veggies, grains, etc.. I'll find one of my favorite rice salads that's very easy and you might want to try it. Veggies and fruits are easy to take and you can prepare them once you get there...I'll go look for one of my recipes now.......Donna J Lyn <poet_atrabilious wrote: Thanks, Donna, I will look for the marinated veggies. Guest guest
This one sounds tasty. I think I will try the Napa Valley Rice recipe soon! Do you recommend a particular brand of wine? Guest guest
What is rice salad? There is a gourmet/kitchen store in the next county from where I live. Now if all stores carried food like they do I'd never have to cook! Anyway, they have a wonderful Wild Rice Salad. It has onion, celery, some brown rice and some sort of tangy dressing. It is so good! I get it almost everytime I go there. Robin Sports Rekindle the Rivalries. Sign up for Fantasy Football
