Guest guest
Peanut butter. It's the same idea, because tahini is basically sesame butter, but you always have it in the house. Here's a good one, speaking of, which I stole from " Passionate Vegetarian " and have to make on New Year's Eve, being in the south. I don't know the exact recipe off the top of my head, but its hummus except you use black eyed peas instead of garbonzos, peanut butter instead of tahini. Yummmm.... sarah
Guest guest
I have roasted sunflower seeds, not quite the same, but could work. Thanks for the suggestion. , GeminiDragon <thelilacflower> wrote: > I have tossed a handfull of raw sunflower seeds in the puree with the garbanzo beans and olive oil when I don't have tahini. Guest guest
Oh, yeah how could I forget garlic, I bet it'd be really good if I roasted it first. And I would have never thought about carrots. Maybe I have some immature ones in my garden I could use.....hmmmm.... , Jenni Billings <jenni@b...> wrote: > add garlic, maybe a pinch of salt, and you can puree a few raw baby > carrots in there too. >
