Guest guest
I'm always curious about why people are attratced to favorite colors. Mine are purple, mauve, that Pepto Bismo hot pink and black. Combination together is green/blue/purple and also pink/black/gray. To me purple is just soft and cool and the color of many flowers, and black is.......classy and deep looking for some reason. I don't like yellow or orange...............Donna " Each morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most. Guest guest
> actually black and white are not colors, they are the absence of > color. ;O) White the comination of all, rather than the absence. Think about a prism, that separates white light into the spectrum... Black is the absence, where all colors are absorbed and none are reflected back (for you to see). I done went to that school too... ;-)
Guest guest
Colour is evidence how waves of light are reflected. Black absorbs all colour; reflecting none. White refelects all away. In hot weather, wearing white feels cooler, right? ===== hmm I was taught it was the absence too, at the other end. " The cat did not respond. She did not believe in paraphrasing anybody. Guest guest
My favorite colors are blue and orange. Separate or together. I'm red green colorblind which means I have trouble seeing red, orange, yellow, purple and green. If its a dark version of any of those I'm normally fine but if its light, the standard version of the color or a mixed color (like green-yellow) I have problems. So as you notice, I didn't list blue because I can see it and can identify the different shades light through dark. I like light blue, regular blue and love navy blue. Also royal blue and indigo blue. People have also told me that blue is my color (for clothes) so that makes it easy for me and more inclination to like it. Although I'm not very good with orange there are various shades of it I can identify and like. I bought thin linen sheets for summer a month or so ago and I was just drawn towards this orange color that reminded me of a sunset. I'm also a Leo and their colors are supposedly very lion-ey colors (orange, red, etc) and I admit I do like the orange and it suits me. If you look at my wardrobe you'd never be able to tell my favorite colors though as most of my clothes are black, white, grey with maybe some blue mixed in. Though its nice when people go shopping with me to identify colors once they leave and I'm at home pairing up items and going 'does this match?' they're gone and I'm at a loss. I don't really like wearing so much black but it is easy to match things with. I do like wearing grey though. As for color combos I like blue/orange, blue/white, blue/grey and sometimes blue/green. I like lots of natural colors too and am tending towards those lately....more of the kahki, twill type colors that are very neutral. I think pretty much if its found in nature I like it. My favorite holiday colors are Halloween and least favorite are Christmas. And I dislike July 4 fireworks intensely. -Katie , GeminiDragon <thelilacflower> wrote: > I'm always curious about why people are attratced to favorite colors. Perhaps there're different definitions for lightwaves than for opaque colors? I don't know. Guest guest
actually.. I googled it. http://www.colormatters.com/bubdarc4g-bwg.html Black is the absence of color and white is the blending of all color when dealing with light. The opposite is true when dealing with paint. A prism will demonstrate the colors in white light. If you take a white sheet of paper and look at it through the same prism you will see rainbow like colors. Or something like that... " The cat did not respond.
