Guest guest
new to this group, have been vegetarian for a long time. collect recepies, always looking for new ones. used to be a special ed. aide, now retired on disability. love mysterys- " the cat who " books are among my favs. have 6 cats - 2 are offspring of a feral freind who vanished last year. one has extra toes - her pix is on my profile page. for ants I use black pepper where they're coming in, it doesn't kill them but they don't like it and go away. for the mound I flooded it, dug it and several feet around up and scattered bird seed. now have a wee patch of flowers and grain growing for the birds and butterflies! added Amy's sister to my prayer list lasagna roll ups with veggie slices instead of noodles sounds delish, can't wait to try. hope this isn't too long, looking forward to getting aquainted with ya'll. Guest guest
Welcome to the group Angela. Sounds like you'll have some great recipes to share with us with all the collecting you do! Do you grow any of your own food? What's your favorite cuisine? Where in the world do you live? Tell us more, your intro wasn't long enough! :-) cheers, Denise SW Iowa , " Angela " <angelaamy2001> wrote: > new to this group, have been vegetarian for a long time. Guest guest
Thanks for the prayers, Angela! Feel free to share with us your favorite vegetarian recipe(s)!! :-) We all seem to love to eat, in spite of the " public preception " of vegetarians as people who only eat salad and granola... *lol* *hugs* Amy

I wish, do more collecting than cooking LOL if you saw my excuse for a kitchen you'd know why!! counter/work space is burner cover on top of the stove + rooms too small for a table. a rolling wood cart is on my list of future purchases. Am slowly turning a weed patch into a yard - had some veggies past 2 yrs but so far this yr the few that did come up burnt up - hotter than usual this yr and I'm in west Texas (aka - hotter than the southwest corner of h***!!)still homesick for CA, moved here in 2001. fav cuisine? don't know, okra's the only vegetable I've met I didn't like. guess my fav would have to be anything vegetarian I don't have to cook! come winter make a lot of cassaroles and soups. tend to make the same dishes I grew up on with beans instead of the meat my mum used. current fav- olt on wheat bread thin slices of red onion tomato slices lettuce or fresh spinach (or both) miracle whip type salad dressing or whatever condiment you like wheat or any other good bread pile as much of ingredients as you want between 2 slices bread. mash sandwich down on plate to size you can fit in mouth for bite. keep plate under sandwich to catch the bits that fall out. Chow Down!! :>) peace, angela > Do you grow any of your own food? What's your favorite cuisine? Where > in the world do you live?
