Guest guest
My father used to buy those little juice from concentrate things. Always grape and Apple, orange, pineapple. I remember when I was 8 or 9 I was looking at it and I said " dad, this is just like coke! " and he told me I was an ungrateful little brat for not being happy with what he bought. It took Atkins of all things to break him of his " juice " habbit and now buys 100% " LOW CARB " juice. Can't wait till he finds out Atkins is bankrupt but I can't be the one to tell him since that would be disrespect. (Little bad blood there!) I actually refuse to buy juice unless it's cranberry juice (since I can't just buy cranberries here!) and juice my own. I have come to despise the juice you buy in the stores. I am now a juice snob and I cart my juicer with me everywhere we go. I snickered at my friend yesterday cause her husband wanted her to buy juice and she got some from the supposed juice isle...it was no better than the sugary soda in her cart. I hate shopping with her but we go together since we both have anxiety issues. She isn't bad it's her husband...he eats crap! I always get stares at the store since I only have produce, soymilk and maybe some chips in my cart...and if they have it dark chocolate!!!! ~Mel

Guest guest
I really like making my own spritzers because sometimes I crave a nice cold drink besides water. I buy the Juicy Juice brand because it is 100% juice and doesn't have ANY added sugars. It's the only juice I can find (that's not organic) that doesn't have HFCS in it. I wish I could buy organic juice, but here it's very expensive and it's not easy to come by. My favorite flavor is orange tangerine. I fill up my glass 2/3 full and add 1/3 club soda. A few ice cubes and I have a refreshing drink that IS better than a soda. Sometimes I wish I had a juicer. I suppose I could look into an attachment for my Kitchen Aid mixer. Mel, I bet your juices are delicious! Guest guest
Denise, may favorite for that is lemonade I've made myself, with orange juice, and then the seltzer... but obviously the lemonade has some sugar. It is tasty though! DH likes pink grapefruit juice - it ends up kind of like Ting (the Jamaican grapefruit soda)... About the juicer - lots of people buy them intending to use them and don't... try posting a want message on your freecycle group. That's how I got mine. Guest guest
Denise, that sounds extremely refreshing. It's so freaking hot and this would be oh so satisfying. Orange juice is the best thing ever created and this club soda bit would kick it up a notch. Nice. Could you please remind me what HFCS is? It sounds familiar. _ _ corn syrup?
