Guest guest
Good Afternoon Donna: I have never baked garlic bulbs, but I like them when I have had them. Last night when we were at Costco they had the big bag of garlic for like $3.00 and we were saying that when my daughter and I get back from Chicago we will buy the big bag and maybe try to bake some up. I used to eat several cloves of garlic a day, along with a whole onion everyday. Love onions, and garlic. YUM. Gayle
Guest guest
Good Morning Gayle, You're right but I'm out of garlic. It's Saturday and time to buy more. Do you bake garlic bulbs? (:-))) Donna glpveg4life wrote: HI Donna: Sounds good but I would have to add a bunch of garlic cloves to it. You can't go wrong with potatoes, onions and garlic. Gayle. Guest guest
HI Donna: Yes we are leaving on Wednesday... We will see my parents, in laws, older sister and my grandmother, along with cousins. Looking forward to it. Gayle
Guest guest
When you bake the bulbs they will squeeze out of the individual cloves just like butter. My niece and I can eat a whole baked bulb each..... Pretty soon you'll be on your trip and I know you are excited....Donna I glpveg4life wrote: Good Afternoon Donna: I have never baked garlic bulbs, but I like them when I have had them. Guest guest
Hi Donna: Thanks, I will probably need a vacation after my vacation. The day I get back to work my boss is on vacation. We can't be gone at the same time as I can cover some of her stuff. It should be fun though. My father said they want to take us to see the Millennium, while we are there. Guest guest
HI Donna: I agree it would be great if we were closer we could share. If you start driving now you could be here by next week... You could stop along the way and pick up everyone else. What time do you want dinner? Gayle
Guest guest
Too bad you are so far or I would invite myself for leftovers....LOL I think I better try my Veat tonight with the pineapple recipe from mel. I have it all right here. Donna glpveg4life wrote:Instead of the Seitan I used veat. We used 2 onions, 6 cloves of garlic a few baby bell peppers, some fresh spinach some chopped broccoli and some corn, and a couple of potatoes. Sauteed it up added some Tandoori spice, basil, pasta sprinkle, black pepper, white pepper, fennel seed, sage and some salt. It came out pretty good and we have a bunch left for tomorrow. Guest guest
I found Veat now in the other Whole Foods today but it's still the breast so there's hope that more is on the way. It really has a wonderful flavor, have you tried the pineapple recipe Mel posted? .........I will make your sandwich this week since I can't come get one from you in person...Happy Sunday! Donna glpveg4life wrote:NO I won't have a good homemade crock pot meal for you when you arrive... However I can have a nice tomato, mozzarella and cucumber salad, and some tofurkey sausages with peppers and onions and of course garlic when you arrive with everyone else. Or I can have some veat mixture waiting to go with the salad. Gayle
