You know you are a veggie recipe freak when....

You have several vegetarian cookbooks stacked by

your bed and you read them like bedtime stories

before you turn out the lights. *lol*

Anyone else do this?

Have any other veggie recipe freak indicators?

oh no Donna.. PT, That's not freaky, that's family! hee hee ! =)

actually, I thought I was a bit obsessive.. I love cook books, I

immediately go to the cookbook section in any bookstore. And it's

funny because I rarely follow the recipes (i consider them 'guidelines,

really!)

Now I just realize I'm one of many struck by veggie recipe freakiness!

=)

Oh they are in the bedroom and the spare bedroom and I

love to read one in the bathroom while I soak in the

tub.

Wait, they are in my file cabinets at work too.

There's 2 in the trunk of the car...

Other guys,

Do we do this?

The few cook books I have were gag gifts.

My idea of following directions to cook a meal is:

Open box

Remove tray

Tear corner of seal

Micro-wave on high....

David,

sounds to me like you are militant in your non cooking stance?

Why don't you pick up one of those books and make somethin'?

Blessings,

Chanda

*LOL* pt, my husband loves to tell folks how crazy I am about

cookbooks.... he'll often find me propped up in bed with a cookbook in

hand (and several on the bedside table)... asleep at the wheel, so to

speak!

I'll have to forward this message to my husband. I do this ALL the

time! In fact I have been cut off from buying cookbooks, 'cause I

have so many - but I still find my way around that. ;o)

For those of you getting into slowcookers (crockpots), or just

rediscovering them, check out " Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker " ,

by Robin Robertson. Great book, and the only vegetarian one I know!

You guys are cracking me up. My girlfriend called last night about her son

being constipated (I watch him during the week) and I said to her, " Well, you

know I've read in this new book I got, " and then I thought to myself, yes, all

the books I've been reading lately are food books. . . hmmm. . .

My husband hasn't cut me off, yet. But I do have to tell you, I ran out of

computer paper, printing off all the recipes I've been getting from you all. :)

Too funny.....this is my problem also, trying not to run out of ink and

paper while printing off recipes!

Talking about cookbook reading, I came across a cookbook at the library

yesterday that I want to read.

It's called Death Warmed Over: Funeral Food, Rituals, and Customs from

Around the World! I didn't get it for the recipes but it makes for

interesting reading!

Jane (who doesn't take much to humor)
