Guest guest
Thanks for the recipe David - will it be gefilte or other? You know, Imagine brand does a great " no-chicken " broth that I use for my matzah ball soup... We love challah to Chanda, I love a slice Saturday am with my coffee, the kids & dh like it as French Toast. I usually get plain (or sesame or poppy though) not cinnamon raisin (except at Rosh Hashana, but then we've got several) & I wasn't sure of a meal to go with that kind - it seems so very daring and different...tee hee...guess I should get a life, huh? I like the fried egg sanny idea... m

On Shabbas, we (they) have any (kosher) fish. Fish, to be kosher, have to have had scales and a dorsal fin. In the sequence of the Creation, the Torah uses the word " b'racha " (blessing) connecting three specific days: On the fifth day fish were created, on the sixth day humans were created, and on the seventh day G-d rested, giving us the Shabbat. So traditionally Jews eat fish on Shabbat to receive the triple blessing. Anybody else in this group Jewish? Kosher? Frum? Me, David, the " non-cook!
