Guest guest
I made this to go with dinner tonight. I like my black eye pea version better but this was very interesting. It comes out a lovely mauve pink, very fluffy consistency and the flavor is unusual. Reminds me of poi but if poi had a better flavor. Here's the recipe because I'm sure someone might want to give it a try. I have a feeling kids would really enjoy for the color alone....... " Kidney Bean Hummus " 1 15 ounce can of kidney beans, rinsed and drained. 1 large clove of garlic juice of one lemon 2 Tblsps. olive oil 1/2 tsp. salt 2 Tblsps. tahini dash of Tabasco Add garlic to frood processor or blender and chop. Add beans, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt, process until blended and smooth. Add tahini and dash of Tabasco and blender again. Ready to serve as a dip or spread. * Note try this with a can of black eye peas or a can or northern beans is yummy too Roses become compost, compost feeds the garden for the growth of new roses.
