Guest guest
Most of the things I've seen recently indicate that teflon is not good for you, that is it is unwise to buy pans that use teflon for their non-stick coatings. We use calphalon and scanpan non-stick pans and I believe their non-stick surface is not made of teflon (admittedly I could always be wrong). They work great but can be a bit expensive. Guest guest
Jenni - I was looking at a calphalon skillet at BB & B a couple months ago...I wondered too if that was teflon or not...since I really need one now, think I may use my coupon...might get a griddle and a skillet, two trips, they take expired coupons their so I save mine for when I need them!! Thanks for the info guys...now I have a good excuse, always wanted to start a calphalon collection... m

Guest guest
Thanks~ I have great web searching luck, generally, and that was the fruit of a google search. I just ordered some cast iron last night, myself... my three remaining teflon pans will be freecycled. www.freecycle.org Cathrine melissa_hopp wrote: > Catherine, that was a really interesting site...looks like my new > griddle & skillet (I really do need one anyway) will be cast iron! > > m > > > > > >
Guest guest
And on that note, any veteran cast iron folks with tips on seasoning the pans, or anything else?
