Guest guest
peel off the loose paper. Trim the top so you can see most of the cloves. Put it in a baking dish that fits closely (you'll probably want to do several heads as it keeps well in the fridge and is too yummy). Drizzle generously with olive oil, coating the surface. Cover tightly with foil and bake at 300 for 45 minutes to an hour; the garlic will be very soft and browned. Squeeze the cloves out and spread on anything, or add to tomato suace, bread dough... You can also add some pepper and herbs if you want a fancier version. , glpveg4life@a... wrote: > Has anyone ever roasted or baked up a head of garlic. Guest guest
Hi Chanda: That is too funny. How long did it take before they got your father down from the ceiling. My daughter and I love to put garlic in things. Sometimes my daughter puts garlic powder on something that I make with several cloves of garlic in it. My husband and son don't like garlic as much as my daughter and I do. Gayle
Guest guest
me too me too me too me too, I can't say it enough, me too me too me too me too, ok so you get the idea. when I was a kid growing up my father hated it. I could never understand how a person could hate garlic, I really thought it was some kind of dementia, LOL, I really did. We were forbidden to ever order a pizza, as the garlic smell was just too overwhelming for him, grrrrrrrrrr. My poor mom, she loved and still loves garlic too. Once I got my own place I ordered so much Pizza that after a while I couldn't eat if for a couple of years, LOL. During my childhood my aunt and uncle came to stay with us for a while. my aunt was from Thailand. Sweetest nicest person I ever knew, but anyway, can you imagine the day dad came home to the house smells of Thai food cooking, LMAO! oh the humanity. I sat in the corner and snickered my butt off watching all the adults handle that situation. hugs, Chanda - glpveg4life Wednesday, August 24, 2005 6:08 PM Re: RECIPE Re: roasting or baking garlic Thank you this sounds wonderful..
