Guest guest
What a great time of year with many different holidays fast approaching and the change in the our weather at hand. We thought it would be fun to post a monthly roll call near the begining of each new month so we can all introduce ourselves, come out of lurkdom, and/or tell the new members a bit about us. Please don't feel you have to share as this is just an encouraging suggestion, not manditory. What is your name and where are you living? [usernames and general regions are okay] What type of vegetarian are you? Guest guest
Hi, I'm Robin, and we live in NC. My DD (12) and I are lacto ovo veggies but sometimes I fall off the wagon.=( DH and DSs are not veggie. They do however eat our veggie meals most of the time. I sometimes fix a meat side dish for them. I'm always looking for new recipes that are tasty and simple. I am not creative in the kitchen. In fact, I am culinary challenged. Tonight we are having potatoe/tomatoe soup and crusty bread with butter. Maybe some brownies. Robin

Guest guest
Hi Thank you for the invitation to join the group. My name is Christie and I live in Edinburgh, Scotland (UK). I currently consider myself to be lacto-vegetarian (and have been for 37 years) but lately I find I'm eating mostly vegan food - going back to my diet of the 1970s with lots of brown rice, lentils and veggies. I've started baking my own bread and sprouting a variety of different seeds/beans. I can be rather unimaginative and often eat the same menu day after day. I have a 1.5 - 2 hour commute each way to work so I'm usually pretty wiped out when I get home and tend to take the easy option and reheat food rather than cooking from scratch. At least now the food is home-made rather than processed. The time I wake up changes with the seasons - up here sunrise is fairly late in winter and I struggle to wake up in the dark, so my preference would be to wake up at about 9. Summer is a different matter and I can be awake at about 5 or 5.30am and bedtime gets later as well as it's still fairly light here until 11pm in midsummer. Looking forward to getting to know you. Guest guest
Hi Christie! It's great to have you here. I'm the same way in that I can or will eat the same meal over and over. I tend to have an evening of making a couple of big dishes and eat the leftovers for around a week, until they run out. So hopefully the dishes turn out well, lol. Everyone have a great weekend! Guest guest
> What is your name and where are you living? Hi:) Debra coming out of Lurkdom;) er - Dallas, TX. I've been really busy the past few months with beginning massage therapy school, and now a new promotion at work that begins on Monday! I'm hoping to be able to check in a bit more often;) > What type of vegetarian are you? I am a Lacto-Vegetarian, however I prefer being Vegan. The only reason I'm not Vegan is my Chiro-Vedic doctor insists on a small amount of dairy products (kefir, ghee, some cheeses) being included in my diet. I am also wheat/sugar intolerant. > And just for fun: What time do you wake up in the > morning? *lol* Usually at 5:00am.
