i will have to check it out. On BBC?

i just rented a fun movie about restaurant life

called 'In The Weeds' [i think that was the name].

Had Molly Ringwald in it and a few other actors

that i didn't know well. Must have been a boxoffice

sleeper, but i prefer to rent those. The chef in this

movie was very intimidating; much like a chef

i used to work with in a restaurant in NY. Made me

laugh.

Another good cooking theme movie i love is called

'The Big Night'. Italian cooking at its finest.

Starred Tony Shalub [sp], the guy from the TV series

MONK. Check it out if you like cooking films.

Anybody else know of some funny or interesting

cooking movies or shows?

There is a really annoying reality TV chef show that was going on last

season. I can't remember the name.

I don't watch the cooking channel very often anymore. I know that I

didn't really like Emeril that much but he grew on me. Bobby Flay

doesn't always sound like he knows what he is doing but he's got some

good shows. Anyone watch the Iron Chef? The American version, I

believe, is hosted by Alton Brown (or at least was at some point).

I think my favorite chefs and shows to watch on the tele are the

cooking contests and the festivals. I like watching the techniques of

the regular people as they go from booth to booth while some share

their secrets. The festivals are always neat too. From garlic

festivals to strawberry festivals, you get to see such items as garlic

ice cream and strawberry/chile preserves.
