Guest guest
> We go to Toronto, Ontario often and love the very multicultural vegetarian foods there also. I really love all the shops that sell Veggie Samosa 10/$2... Yummmmmmmm. Actually, Montreal and Tarana have had a rivalry going on for many years... maybe it's cuz we beat them at hockey almost half the time... mike
Guest guest
LOL . My husband lived in Montreal at one point, while we were dating and it was great to come there to visit and enjoy the attractions and culture there. It's been a long time since I've been there now though. I bet it has changed a lot. I remember being amazed at all the flat roofs, when you got so much snow. I kept thinking they would cave in. Was that ever an issue? Yes Hockey is huge up there isn't it. My husband's family is from the Toronto area(never heard it called Tarana) and all the kids either play hockey or go to games frequently. I remember this pond, not far from my FIL's, that would freeze up in the winter and the neighborhood kids had a ice hockey rink set up on it and played every day, when the ice was solid enough. There was also an area of any ice skaters to enjoy. This was all new to me, because I grew up in the SE USA. I loved it. Whenever we have been up for Christmas, it always snowed these huge Charlie Brown Snowflakes. It was so magical and God timed it just right. Smile. Was that ever an issue? never been an issue, actually the roofs are slightly slanted so most of the snow falls off... we still end up with HUGE piles of snow though... Hockey is more than a passion here, it's part of life. try to get a copy of the children;s cartoon (or book) " The Hockey Sweater " and it will all make sense mike
