Guest guest
Here's a great summer crock-pottin' recipe for all you hotties! *lol* You all don't go sneering at my addition of the instant coffee now until you try it. You won't notice it, but it sure adds depth of flavor; a truly groovy complexity. But you know, if you don't have any in the house for cooking with, you just go ahead and skip it because this will come out fab no matter what. Stay cool all! Soyrizo Crock-pot Chili 3 cups mixed dried beans, cooked until tender 2 Tbs. olive oil 1 onion, chopped 1 pkg. soyrizo sausage 1 cup medium salsa 1 can (16 oz.) tomato sauce 1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chilies 1 Tbs. dried parsley flakes 1 Tbs. minced dried green pepper flakes 1 Tbs. chili powder 2 tsp. ground cumin 2 tsp. instant coffee crystals Salt and pepper to taste After cooking assorted dried beans until tender, add them to the crock-pot. In a pan saute the onion and soyrizo in the olive oil until the onion is soft and the soyrizo is lightly browned; add this to the crock-pot along with all the rest of the ingredients and seasonings. Cook on low for 4 to 5 hours. [ you can cook this for longer if you are away at work]. Yield: 5 to 6 servings ~ PT ~ Every one should periodically be compelled to listen to opinions which are infuriating to them. To hear nothing but what is pleasing to one is to make a pillow of the mind. ~ John Ervine
Guest guest
Oh this looks good PT, gotta try it soon. And, just btw, I much prefer being called a 'hottie' to being called a pepperhead (my sister) lol Peace, Diane , " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll wrote: > > Here's a great summer crock-pottin' recipe for all you hotties! *lol* > You all don't go sneering at my addition of the instant coffee now > until you try it.
