Guest guest
I am so enjoying all the dog stories. My landlord brings Sadie the Aussie Sphepard to visit while he is working. She is obedience trained but loves to come visit me if her master ok's it. She cannot hold back her joy at seeing me and wiggles with happiness from head to toe. However if he leaves her in the truck to be on guard and I go out to speak to her she totally ignores me and will only give me a side glance. She is on duty and will not waiver. Amazing ! I am presently re-reading James Harriot's book 'Dog Stories'. I am constantly amazed at the intelligence of our animal friends. Guest guest
Another good book of dog stories is Marley and Me. Marley is a lab, so he isn't a " little dog " , but any one who loves dogs stories is bound to like the book. - genny_y2k Saturday, June 10, 2006 9:32 AM Dog Stories I am so enjoying all the dog stories. Guest guest
I had 3 cats at the time. My minister and his were over to my house as we were discussing fund raising. We were sitting in the living room when the cats raced in. They had a white mouse!!! I started laughing, the minister started laughing, the minister's wife turned the darkest shade of red I have ever seen and I don't think she has recovered yet!! I asked which cat had been under the sink in the bathroom and they all presented their good side. The white mouse, tail and all, was an unwrapped tampon!!! Guest guest
Not with my crew!!! I had one cat, who passed on at the age of 24, who would steal one strand of spaghetti off of any guest's plate, hold it up in the air, and eat it from the end up. The only evidence was that his white bib had tomato sauce on it!!! Guest guest
I have had many that lived to be over 20 in my days. I free feed kibble and I make their soft food with 1/3 raw beef or lamb or cooked chicken, 1/3 cooked grains, and 1/3 chopped vegetables. I add bonemeal and give them yogurt and cottage cheese. They get pure cooked pumpkin twice per week. They get a raw chicken wing weekly for their teeth. Guest guest
Same here, I miss having a dog but I have lots of dogs along my delivery route who seem convinced I only stop by every week or two just to pet them lol. I can usually charm my way in even past the barkers but some won't warm up to me until we've been properly introduced by their humans. They take their jobs seriously.
