Guest guest
Let me see if I can remember everything. I used my food processor and a large bowl. I processed 6 ounces of Portabella mushrooms and put them in the bowl. I cooked up one cup (raw) of brown rice per directions. I cooked up one cup (raw) of bulgur. I put them in the bowl. I took a package of mixed vegetables out of the freezer. You can use any or you can use fresh. I do not get fresh ones for the next month. I ran them through the processor and added them to the mix. I processed one onion and three cloves of garlic. I added some BBQ sauce and some Soy Sauce. I mixed it all together. I made the first patty and I put it in the frying pan, cooked it up, and pigged out. I put the rest into patties in plastic sandwich bags and into the freezer. I don't think I will buy any frozen patties again!!! Marilyn Daub mcdaub Vanceburg, KY My Cats Knead Me!!
Guest guest
I just had dinner of mushroom burger on a whole wheat seeded roll, topped with Greek yoghurt sprinkled with smoked paprika and some home- made rather hot and spicy guacamole. My lips are on fire but it was a lovely combination. Next time I shall give Marilyn's portobello burger a try. Christie
Guest guest
We usually eat veggie burgers in a bun with different condiments between the 2 of us(tomato salad dressing, mustard, bbq sauce, ketchup, mayo), lettuce, red onion, tomato, and advocado for my partner. We normally just have chips (not french fries!) with them when we've got some in the house. Cindi
Guest guest
They are delicious, Christie, and you could put all the same toppings on them. And they are so much cheaper than the frozen ones you buy in the store!! Guest guest
I don't make my own burgers but I eat Morningstar products. Most people think i'm weird but, I cut a MS chic patty (defrost in microwave) into small pieces and put it in a frying pan with some fake hamburger crumbles, when its hot I add ketchup, mustard and relish to the pan. I stir it all together and let it cook for a minute or two to absorb the flavor. You can also add cheese to the pan so it gets that toasted taste.
