Guest guest
Well, I'm sure the crabcakes would make a great meal. BUT......I took a bite out to DH with some Choula's/mayo/spicy pickle relish. He has polished off about 1/2 the batch! I like them too, but I don't think I drained the zucchini long enough, some of them are falling apart. They are yummy!! I " m going to Michael's and I might have to stop at the grocery and get more zucchini. I was out of Old Bay so I used Emeril's Essence. My question is, I hate using paper towels to drain things, all that paper wasted seems a shame. Does anyone use old cloth diapers or dish towels for draining? I can't imagine why that wouldn't work just fine, and I have a zillion old cloth diapers left over from my girls. Thanks, AMyF
Guest guest
: Amy, I use dishtowels to squeeze my zucchini. I like it because you can put the zucchini in the middle and hold onto the ends to twist. Seems to me that diapers would be perfect. Jane . Guest guest
I recently bought a package of 18 white cotton 'rags' and paid $4. I use them often for draining vegetables as I too hate to waste paper towels. The rags are easy to launder. When I do use use paper towels I place them aside for cleaning later. I might use them to do a quick wipe up of the floor etc. Cloth diapers are just the greatest cloths for dusting , and drying dishes. Using those diapers is going to save you a lot of money and that is very Earth Friendy. Guest guest
Don't pitch your cloth diapers. I have twins born before disposable diapers and have just, in the last 10 years, thrown away my last good dust cloths. And, I am considering purchasing another dozen.
