garlic scapes?

I just got a bunch of garlic scapes at the farmer's market on

saturday. I've heard wonderful things about them, but I'm not sure

how to cook them. I ended up chopping up a few and tossing them into

a stir fry the other night and that was tasty but I'd love a recipe or

two that really highlights them, as their flavor got lost a bit with

all the other ingredients in the stir fry.

I'd never heard of garlic scapes nor yet seen them for sale and this

was one of the links I found online which might help you out. It

sounds like I may have to give garlic growing another try.

Rachael,

After reading your post I did some on line research and discovered that

garlic scapes make great pesto. I have never used garlic scapes but you

can bet I will try them . Pesto is one of my favorite toppings for

pasta. There are several places on line with recipes but since I have

not tried them I will leave this to other members in the group.
