Now that is far out information. I always wondered why some have

many seeds and some have few. I just looked at the 2 in the fridge

and I have a husband and wife to cook up by the weekend.

Thanks I will be passing this on.

Judy know what? I just made female eggplant parmesan for dinner, after

reading this I had to look in the trash for the end I cut off.

I have an Italian girlfriend and I just called her, she had no idea

about this either.

Hi to everyone, I haven't been in here in ages and it will be a while

until I have time to log back in, Mya (on the go)

You're very welcome. I know I had wondered the same thing. I think someone on

a cooking show shared this tidbit of info one show. It is been invaluable to

me, since I love those heavy seeded ones.

Enjoy cooking up that husband and wife. LOL

Mya,

Did you find many seeds in it? I love Eggplant Parmesean. Please share your

recipe. I came across this info on male and female eggplants several years ago,

on a cookshow on tv I think. This method of chooses those heavy seeded

eggplants has never failed me.

Hope you are back on here again soon.

Thank you Judy for this post. I always open the eggplant and see the

surprise, it has too many seeds or almost none. I don't like the

seeds, I will go off to fine female eggplants from now on.

very interesting1 haven't cooked eggplant enough to notice any differences. the

ones in the store are too big for some one cooking for 1 but the plant my friend

gave me has a golf ball size eggplant and lots of pretty flowers so will be

pickin and eatin in the near future. are the plants male and female too or will

both type fruit grow on the same plant?

to harvest soon.
