addicted to rice with tea... they have to go on diets. :o)

Per serving in a rice bowl:

Cooked rice, white or brown, preferably warm

Prepared green tea one or more of the following condiments:

Very thin strips of nori

Finely chopped tsuke-mono (pronounced - SKEY -mono)(Japanese pickled

vegetables-many varieties are available)

Slivered leaves of shiso

Slivered myoga (baby ginger shoots)

Toasted or blackened sesame seeds

Thin strips of cooked konbu from making stock

Wakame

Sansai (Japanese mountain vegetables,

available in packets or frozen)

Place the condiments on top of the rice, and pour hot green tea to cover. If

necessary, add a dash of sea salt.

When I lived in Japan I noticed that words endings often got a little

smeared sounding. Whether the z is a real z sound or a soft s sound

is, I think, regional. Written with english letters it might look

like " amerika-jin desuka? " but sound like " amerika-jean deska? "

I like rice & tea too! Thanks for posting this one :)

Peace,

Diane
