Hi Rise link baking soda and baking powder

Hope this link will help you a little more in why recipes calls for both

baking powder and baking soda.

Rise~ you can use soy or rice milk for the non-dairy milk. If a

recipe uses bakign powder or baking soda I wouldn't leave it out.

Maybe you call them by a different name in Denmark?

You're welcome Rise. My Grandparents were from Sweden so I understand your

question, I don't exactly understand how to answer it, I know the American

sweetbreads and cookies are a different texture from what Gran used to bake, she

never used both baking powder or baking soda together. I have some of her

recipes posts. Her Swedish white brownies, her pepparkoker ginger cookies, etc.

The cookies are a nice hard crunchy cookies, not a soft bready texture. Maybe

this is why.

conversion charts so you can use our recipes?
