Guest guest
$50??? I thought that $1 for a dozen blossoms at my local Farmer's market was a tad bit expensive! xoxoRobyn Whitney, I have heard that a restaurant in New Mexico serves deep fried squash blossoms for $50 a serving. _Elizabeth Swann_ (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0461136/) : There will come a moment when you have the chance to do the right thing. _Jack Sparrow_ (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000136/) : I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by.

Guest guest
Heh. That reminds me of when I went to this pub and restaurant with my friends this Friday night. They had a line at the bottom of their menu specifically to vegans, to ask about the chef specials. So I was told about their grilled veggies which they called an " antipasto. " Ok, in my book an antipasto should run you about $10 tops, right? $17 for a plate of grilled veggies. Their reasoning was that it was an " entree " and all of their entrees were $17 and over. I may order drinks there in the future, but never food, ever again. This wasn't even in Boston!! This was on the North Shore! Guest guest
Well.... yeah... I guess so.... around here, water is cheap and the seeds sell for $2.50 a pack if you buy them in small packs...so, I guess $1 isn't making them MUCH profit... depending on how many blosssoms you can get a vine to produce... I wish I had more land... I'd grow my own. ) xoxoRobyn wishing for the land fairy to visit. Ha ha ha ha.... $50 is ridiculous but $1 is so crazy cheap if you think about it... those blossoms could evetually be squash which would sell for more than $1 each so it seems like they are losing money. _Elizabeth Swann_ (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0461136/) : There will come a moment when you have the chance to do the right thing. _Jack Sparrow_ (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000136/) : I love those moments. My husband said that they can't get farmers in Georgia to supply squash blossoms because they don't want to take a loss. I don't know how the store he bought them at could even sell them at $2.40 for a pack. They were probably marked wrong. Whitney --- TruNatrschild wrote: > > > $50???
