Guest guest
Don't despair! I am the self proclaimed queen of rationalization. Hmm...OK, how about this? You are trying to make meals healthier, and veggie panini's cooked on the GF grill would be very healthy. OR Using countertop appliances use less electricity and have less thermal load added to the house, keeping the kitchen cooler, the cook less frazzled from the heat of the stove and the air conditioning doesn't have to work harder to keep the house cool. OR You have it on excellet authority that panini's are the perfect sports watching food. They can be eaten single handedly in a recliner, one hand holding the sandwich, the other freed up for holding the remote or choice of adult beverage. For the men out there, I just thought of THE one argument that might get you a grill. " Honey, it is so simple, even I can make my own snack, and there is hardly any cleanup. " Trust me, I'd throw that sucker in the cart in a nanosecond if my DH said that. But then, I'd throw a femme de la nuit in the cart if she did the house, come to think of it.(Note to men.I know more men who clean, cook, shop and do kitty litter box detail than those who don't. I, fortunately, married a man who can keep our old house in one piece, make anything I ask as long as it involves power tools, and who will help me clean up after the animals. All that and he still has a great bum.) There ya go. Four off the top of my head. (My qualifications for inventing these rationalizations is 40 years of marriage, a boat load of kids and hearing allllll the excuses imaginable for why homework was not turned in.) Guest guest
I am now dreaming of vegan paninis! Red peppers, portabello mushrooms, eggplant, perhaps some vegan mozzarella from Follow Your Heart.... Any recommended breads? Particularly those that will not contain dairy or eggs?
