Guest guest
Will do! I will try not to wear her out! I will be asking her, of course, for land WITHOUT clay! I wonder if she'd provide rototillers and everything? Well, I suppose, since she'd be giving out good land, I'd just do lasagna gardening.... no, for gardening newbies, this isn't gardening with noodles! xoxorobyn Robyn, When that " Land Fairy " comes around would you send him or her my way. I would be most happy with an acre of organic soil so I could plant herbs and veggies to my heart's content. Living in the city is such a bummer but I do have my balcony and potted herbs. So all is not lost..LOL My Rosemary is coming up and I have gobs of Basil so life is good. I like to wave at them as they pass by.

Guest guest
I need the land fairy too. My patio has a large epazote herb along with potted tomatoes, lavender and that's it for right now. I would love a large backyard. Donna genny_y2k <genny_y2k wrote: Robyn, When that " Land Fairy " comes around would you send him or her my way. Guest guest
Deanna, What city do you live in? In Chicago there are several places where folks can use a piece of a garden. Check where you live to see if this is available. Alternative, maybe someone you know hates to garden (like me) and would be happy to turn their garden over to you (I would love to; I've declared a portion of my backyard as " reclaimed Illinois prairie). Guest guest
Where IS that garden/land fairy! I've been calling! I will need to find the proper bribes.... . I have some yard... not much. I had a half an acre to garden in at my old place, but the soil was so clayey, that after 7 years of dumping compost, I still had failures.... I have a much smaller place here, but the soil is better, I can just use my compost pile and I am fine. ) I have a lot more successes, so I guess it's better, I shouldn't whine. xoxoRobyn Robin, Daughter and I planted a garden at her place and her ground is very close to organic. Most city gardens are far from organic and way too much polution from automobiles. So I think my choices are few and far between. I would love to live on an old farmstead that hadn't been planted in years. Where is that garden fairy?
