Guest guest
Hey Groupies, wanted to share my Spinach Pie recipe, I made it last night with the spinach I grew in my garden. Spinach (2 bunchs) Pie crust (homemade suggested) Onions (half) Garlic (2-3 cloves) Mushrooms (4-5) 1/2 pd of NY Cheddar White (whatever you prefer) Seasonings, I prefer: Vege Sal, black pepper, oregano, basil, parsley, lemon pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, sea salt (I use many spices at a time, so it's up to you what you prefer to use) Start by sauteeing the onions and garlic in olive oil (whatever oil you choose)then add the mushrooms. After a couple of minutes, add the spinach and seasonings and mix together. Put the mixture in the pie crust and add the cheese. Bake in the oven for about twenty minutes or until cheese is melted and VOILA....Uhuru (peace)
Guest guest
oh wow! this sounds good, and how wonderful for you that you are able to grow spinach in your garden. I wonder if I can swap out the spinach for chard leaves. I am gonna try. I like spinach but I LOVE chard, LOL. hugs, Chanda - Jefani Edison Tuesday, July 25, 2006 12:34 PM My infamous Spinach Pie Hey Groupies, wanted to share my Spinach Pie recipe, I made it last night with the spinach I grew in my garden. Guest guest
Jefani, that sounds just delicious. And *finally*, a spinach pie recipe that doesn't have any eggs in it!!! (I'm allergic.) Don't grow my own, but I've got lots of access to fresh. Thank you!
