Guest guest
That cookbook is large isn't it? I have post it notes all over the recipes I've tried and ones to try. I'll have to look for you when I get home but really everything in there that I've tried has been delish! Donna --- Sharon Zakhour <sharon.zakhour wrote: > > Sharon > P.S. Guest guest
Yes, it's big and it has lots of yummy-sounding recipes that I have never seen before. That was my thought last night as I read it -- I need to get my post-it notes out! I like that it has so many pictures, despite it's dictionary-like size. Also, the beginning has the A to Z of produce. I like that the green beans page, for example, has photos of different kinds of green beans. And it says how to prepare, store, etc. Lots of good info, though I was mostly reading recipes. My only quibble is that it uses very little, in the way of grains. I'd love to see a similar cookbook that uses lots of millet, quinoa, amaranth, barley, spelt, teff, etc. It had only one barley recipe (that I could find). If you can't tell, I'm really trying to shift my diet to a grain-based diet (which is why I bought a flour mill), but finding recipes is the trick. Anyone have any good grain veggie cookbooks to recommend? Sharon Donnalilacflower wrote: > That cookbook is large isn't it? >
Guest guest
Have you looked in the grains recipe group folder? It's got many and those are TNT. Guest guest
Oh, yes! And I've used some of those. (I look through the files all the time.) But I'd like a cookbook too. :-) Sharon Donnalilacflower wrote: > Have you looked in the grains recipe group folder? >
Guest guest
Check out the cookbook at the www.breadbecker.com website. They have a spiral paperback that has loads of grain recipes in them. http://www.breadbeckers.com/recipes.htm They also have some of recipes on the site and there are great articles on Grains. Click on them and read them all. They are so enlightening. Judy >Yes, it's big and it has lots of yummy-sounding recipes that I have never seen before.
