Guest guest
Before I put the effort into posting about Bread making 101 using hands, I would like to know if it would be welcome or if everyone or the vast majority of the list has gone to using machines to make the bread for them and do not wish to endure the boredom of learning such an anachronistic art. Thank you, Jeanne in Georgia Groups are talking. We & acute;re listening. Check out the handy changes to Groups.
Guest guest
PLEASE ,, DO POST BREAD 101 I would enjoy Bread making 101 Using Hands class. I make a lot of our breads we eat, doing the hands on method. I bake in glass cylinder tubs, bake in coffee cans and other small cans, on pizza stones, and my bread dishes. My whole family bakes breads. I have making my own breads for over 40 yrs. Guest guest
Jeanne, I would be thrilled if you were to post a bread making 101. I have just started making bread and my early attempts have been less than stellar! Thanks! Jennifer

Guest guest
LOL Little rascals. Maybe towards the holidays I'll post my great-gramma's bread recipe. We've been making that for 4 generations (so far) both for our holiday dinner rolls and for our holiday morning cinnamin buns. They are definitely not " healthy " but I'm invited places just so I'll bring them. I warn you, it's mostly technique though - the ingredients are fairly straightforward. These are moist, buttery, ever-so-slightly-sweet, and white white white. My former in-laws still sigh about those rolls they _used_ to get at family dinners until their son divorced me. I once took pity on my MIL and gave her the recipe but she couldn't master the technique and she gave up. This is the same woman who is a gourmet cook but would say to me, " who the heck makes bread? " I attribute her failure to not having the heart of a breadmaker. I like to bake bread but I just can't do it weekly. Hence, I'm very hopeful about the machine that's cranking away, even now...
