I think the emotional aspects of going raw are absolutley crucial to pay attention to! It's one thing to convince people logically of the wisdom of adopting a raw diet for their health and quite another thing to empower them emotionaly to be able to make the transition succesfully. Audrey _____ You're welcome! A huge problem almost everyone seems to face is the failure of " will power. " People make decisions, set goals, join programs, attend workshops, and so forth, all to little or no avail. And with each new " failure " comes another ding in the self-esteem, another confirmation of low self-worth, another step downward into the abyss of despair. WILL I EVER FIND SOMETHING THAT WORKS FOR ME? WILL I EVER SUCCEED AND BE HEALTHY--EASILY AND WITH A SENSE OF GRACE AND JOY? I, too, have experienced phenomenal emotional eating challenges at various times, where no amount of will power was worth anything at all, where I sank into a deep place of despair, where I could see almost no sense of possibility at all. Fortunately, I learned and realized the distinction between the conscious and subconscious functions of the human mind, and I was given tools for helping myself and others move forward, often rapidly and with dramatic results. The subconscious mind contains most of the processing power, memory, and other resources of the mind; the conscious mind is specialized for very high-level functions. It is the subconscious mind that runs our entire physiology, creating all those " symptoms " we know and love. (Yes, I encourage you to love and appreciate your symptoms!!!) Whenever our subconscious " programming " or beliefs conflicts with our consciously chosen beliefs, values, intentions, or goals, the subconscious " wins " almost 100% of the time. Example: Fred decides to start a company, so that he can make money, retire early, and enjoy life with his family in the lifestyle of his choice. Unfortunately, at the age of 3, Fred heard that " Money is the root of all evil, " and also that " You can't trust rich people. " Fred may indeed start his company, but it is highly unlikely that he will ever experience lasting success on the scale he envisions -- until he changes those subconscious beliefs. We now have tools and methods available, where we can literally rewrite our subconscious programming AT THE DIRECTION OF OUR CONSCIOUS INTENTIONS. In other words, we can bring our subconscious beliefs into alignment with what we really -- consciously -- want in life. As our beliefs shift, we shift, and we begin attracting into our lives the people, resources, and circumstances we truly desire. The real power is not in the food at all -- it's in the mind. When we switch to RF, what we remove from our diet is at least as significant as what we introduce. The mind is the true source of all health (or mis-health), it really has nothing to do, in the end, with germ theory or toxemia theory or any other physicality. These are all just ways of describing the results or consequences we experience when we " choose " that which does not serve our own highest and best good. If we are physically active, we travel one road, otherwise, another. If we get plenty of sunshine and fresh air, we travel one road, otherwise another. If we eat wonderfully well, we travel one road, otherwise another. And at least as important as all of these put together, if we live joyfully, minimize stress and respond effectively (not " manage " ) what stress does occur, then we travel one road, otherwise another. Love thy neighbor as thyself. In other words, first, love thyself, THEN love thy neighbor. For we cannot give what we do not have. We cannot share energetically when we have little energy. We cannot share the strength that arises from faith if we have little faith. We cannot share genuine trust if we are afraid to trust. There is a choice available...whether to continue living out programming that went in largely before age 6 and that originated entirely with other people, or to begin rewriting that programming, so that we may begin to live the life we truly intend.
