Guest guest
I did not get in on the last few posts on this thread, but viewed a small portion of the discussion. I will not get into any philosophy or technical viewpoints, but briefly share my experience. I use to eat basically a heath food diet and do many cleanses (bowel, gallbladder/liver, etc) and yet get very painful migraines because I was eating heavy foods and cooked foods. These head aches would put me down for the whole day sometimes, and I would vomit often. Within 3 months of being on the raw diet, I was migraine free. Then I backslid and the migraines began to return. Now I am committed once again to eat raw food. I am thankful for the head aches because they were a signal that I was harming my body with impure food that would cause more serious problems in the future. Guest guest
My experiences echo Diana's. I used to suffer debilitating migraine headaches and lose several days of work a month. When I owned my store, we even had a cushion in one corner of the office that was referred to as the " headache bed. " Once I learned about raw foods, I am now mostly free of any headaches at all. No more trips to the ER for narcotics to cover the pain and stop the vomiting. Hurray! Although *some* of my migraines may have been " emotional in origin " as suggested by Elchanan (they often came right after a big event), a good number of them were tied to my menstrual cycle and could amost be predicted. Guest guest
Are there other woman who no longer experience migraines, especially hormonally & menapause related migraines? Mine are also as regular as a monthly. Some research indicates a low estrogen & seratonin levels proceed the " monthly hormonal migraines " . Thank you Diana & Annette for sharing your experiance. What percentage of raw were you on when you no longer had hormonal migraines? I am somewhere near 50/60 % but transitioning to 80/90. I will be trying different fresh foods prior to my next " " monthly cycle that I think might increase or balance those horomones, but I am not sure which ones.(?) I am also considering trying juice fasting and tuning more deeply into my sense of smell, taste, and gut response on what greens/herbs/fruits/seeds to eat or not eat the week before of of the regular monthly.....which I seem to be approaching doing now anyways.... The encouragement and experience of other woman who have moved through this is helpful. Thank-you! Guest guest
This is hopeful for me. I haven't tried the Raw Food diet yet, but I am learning about it. And if I could be headache free, that would be such a blessing. I can't even imagine being free from headaches. rawfood , " Annette " <cloudriver> wrote: > > My experiences echo Diana's.
