Guest guest
Hi Everyone. Im expecting our next baby in May and hoped you could give me some advice on what foods I should eat or avoid. I want to make sure we are both getting everything we need. I especially need foods with iron and something to help with calcium. Ive been raw for 6m but still pretty new to it all lol. Guest guest
Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) are crucial. Brain development depends on it, and baby will extract it from you in womb, and through breast milk later - if you don't have enough your brain actually leeches EFAs for the sake of the baby - one of the possible reasons for a number of post-natal symptoms. Guest guest
Ellen, I was also raw during my last pregnancy and I never felt better. I believe that you should listen to your inner voice about what you feel you should eat (raw foods not anything cooked of course). I believe that each body has different needs at different times. Doug Graham or rather Roz Graham ate a very clean pure nutural raw diet consisting of mostly fruits during her pregnancy. Many people are very healthy just eating bananas only and one woman even only ate only watermelon during her pregnancy and breast feeding. You will be just fine just eating fresh raw organic fruits and veggies. I think many times we or scientists try to think that we or they know what our bodies need more that our own bodies. Our bodies are amazing Perfect it knows what it needs we just need to be receptive. This is purely what I have experienced in my own life as a pregnant mother and also as a breast feeding mother of 2. Good luck and happy baby times, Darlene paulb wrote: Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) are crucial. What? Why? Hard to believe. I'd be interested in reading more. I can't even find good watermelon for half that time. The last six I've bought have been mealy and mushy. Not even good in the blender. Guest guest
Annette, Dr. Herbert Sheldon was helping a woman who wanted to lose weight. She felt like it was too hard to eat raw. So he asked her what her favorite fruit was and if she could stick to just eating that one fruit if it meant that she could be thin. She loved watermelon and agreed that she would do anything to be thin and healthy. She ate only watermelon and sure enough lost the weight. At some point she got pregnant and just continued on her choosen diet path, she was perfectly healthy, baby was perfectly healthy nursing and all. That was the story as I read it. As far as finding great melons the story did not say yet, " If theres a Will there's a Way " Have a great day, Darlene Annette <cloudriver wrote: rawfood , Darlene Navarre <dknbhn> wrote: >one woman even only ate only watermelon during her pregnancy and breast feeding. _______________ This woman ate only watermelon for over nine months!
