Guest guest
perhaps. but i could work in most any food establishment where they sell produce, as that's what i eat. i'm not much interested in the faux cooked raw diet. i don't need raw hamburgers and steak sandwiches and pizza, i'm not interested in fancy, " tasty " recipes. besides work would take away from my exploration, i went to a nature fair, a puerto rican parade, a student classical concert in a beautiful school for music students, a padre pio celebration in south philadelphia, amongst the " south philadelphia italians " and took a walk on the philadelphia navy yard (long story as to how i got on there), all today. i have enough savings to get me buy for a couple of years probably, i'd rather gain these kinds of experiences than the experience of working among typical raw foodists would bring me. wait a minute, you said volunteer, same difference, time spent and the experiences gained are time spent and the experiences gained. i'd like to have nothing but produce and raw nuts offered me, but i'll have to resolve it in the world, i'd have to resolve it there eventually anyway. there is no supportive environment for this kind of meal plan, and even if there were a few people i could hook up with who eat this way, i'd still rather gain my worldly experiences, at least for as far as i can see into the future, at some point i'd like to return to accounting work and gain that worldly experience. the no temptations idea is a good one and one that i would love to have but the world isn't much set up for eating the way i want to eat. like i said, even if i could manage to find a soul or two who eats the way i do, well it would be hard to find them in the first place and then would i want to give up my worldly experience accrual to live that kind of a peaceful life? it'd be difficult, possible, i might want to do it. thanks for your thought lane, and good luck to you also, and enjoy that island of yours, i believe your the one who said you live in the bahamas or something like that. {song} and i did it my way {song}, besides i'm going to get raw again tomorrow and stay that way for the rest of my life and it'll be fairly easy and i'll gain all kinds of interesting worldly experiences while i'm at it, just to make my trip on this rock perfect. rich www.rawfoodeaters rawfood , " Lane Martin " <lanie@p...> wrote: > Rich good luck. Perhaps you could volunteer at a raw place where there was nothing but raw food. you could work in return for food and lodging. You would be in a supportive environment and have raw food offered and no temptations. just a thought. good luck. Lane
Guest guest
i heard 21 days but it doesn't work, i just have to get pure in my eating, and maintain it for however long it takes to completely want it and not relapse under any and all circumstances. if you know of or here of a place that might want a produce eating accountant, let me know, if i hear of any, i'll put in my ap. you're an inn keeper, eh? that's how you get to stay there. how'd you acquire your inn? rawfood , " Lane Martin " <lanie@p...> wrote: > I hear you Rich. But I have also heard if you do something for a certain time, month?, 3 months? can't remember. It becomes ingrained. then it might be easier to go out in to the world with all it's temptations. It would also solve the 'you almost lost your place to live' problem. Wow! you do accounting? That's huge. I'll bet a lot of these places need your skills. An I bet there are plenty that serve just plain simple food. I know what you mean about the pizza and all. > Yeah I'm not in Bahamas but in Bermuda. If I end up staying here, which I might, I plan to grow fruit trees. I've already got some banana, and avocado, guava, loquats and surnam cherries. I will try to add orange, grape fruit, and lots more bananas. I will also start a garden and grow lettuce, carrots, cauliflower, tomatoes. I will have a raw food retreat here, in addition to my regular inn keeping clients. > Anyway. good luck. Lane
Guest guest
Rich- It seems so sad to me that you are suffering so much on this diet. I too had problems with it, so now I'm about 70-80% raw. I'm feeling much better, and my meals are no longer an obsession! I generally stay raw for breakfast and lunch, and eat some cooked food at dinner. I know many on this list will be horrified, but this is working well for me. Health isn't just about food, it's body, mind and spirit. If this diet is so hard on you, it's not helping you, imho. It's only adding stress to your life! And remember, food cooked with love can be just as healthy. Just do what feels right, and you will be your best! Guest guest
i'm not going to lean on i-lean. 100% raw is the only way for me. i could never maintain a percentage, my energy won't allow for it, it's all or binge on nothing but cooked. i realize some people don't have to do this such as yourself. i'm not horrified, i think we should be able to speak much more freely on here. believe me, this diet is helping me, i stayed raw today, and i'm very happy and that's all that counts. it's greater stress on me not to be raw, believe me. for me, food cannot be cooked with love. peace and blessings , and write often. rich www.rawfoodeaters rawfood , " " <etain369@m...> wrote: > Rich- > > It seems so sad to me that you are suffering so much on this diet.
