Guest guest
Hi everyone! I have be struggling to stay 100% raw for about 2 months now and thought it may be motivating to have an email buddy who is in the same situation. I did something similar with a friend when we were dieting and found that having to tell someone everything you ate really made you think twise before putting something into your mouth! Also any suggestions would be great- as for me staying raw when socialising is the most difficult. Cheers! Angela.
Guest guest
sure, i'll do it. but i like using this forum just as much. weekends are toughest for me, as opposed to socializing, which i probably don't do much of anyway. Guest guest
My best friend was very sick in the hospital and I had to fly to go and see him. I didn't leave the house prepared & i stayed at a friend's place (who is not raw). I was stressed and just decided to forget raw for a bit. I have been testing the waters with raw food for a few months and was doing well until this happened. Maybe I should have an emergency last minute raw travelling kit around! For those of us who have trouble staying on track, what is hardest. I have no trouble staying raw when I am at home alone. It is the socializing that does it. There's a lot of that going on here for the Christmas season, including Christmas dinner with friends. So, fellow strugglers....which situations make it tough to stay on track? Work, parties, solitude, travel....???? Lane
Guest guest
home alone is tough for me, i get board, and the one thing i can do to put some " zing " in my time is to throw in some indiscriminate eating and drinking (teas and stuff). when i go out, i'm generally not food socializing so that isn't so hard. i don't usually know a lot of the people where i'm at, so i can always leave early. plus, where i go, they usually put out a fruit/vegetable tray to go with all the cooked stuff. it's easier when i'm out because it's more of a challenge to be in public and that alone can help me stay raw, especially if i carry my food with me. plus, i have to buy what i want, instead of cooked matter being " freely " accessible. i realize a lot of people have the friends/restaurant problem though. rawfood , " Lane Martin " <lanie@p...> wrote: So, fellow strugglers....which situations make it tough to stay on track? Guest guest
it has to be a " no matter what " policy in my life, to stay raw, or else i can't do it. and i definitely have to give up on doing it for taste, there's just too many cooked things, especially things i haven't tried, that look and do taste " good " . it has to be a policy of mine to stay raw, whatever my principles for staying raw are. it doesn't matter what anyone's principles are really, but i know for myself, that i have to have some. like for me, although i recognize the non-cruelty to animals as a good reason, the health benefits, as science has quite obviously found that the sad diet kills in the long run, or the benefits to the environment which is another good reason. mostly i stay raw just because i feel better living that way, spiritual reasons you might say. rawfood , " Freya " <tulip27@h...> wrote: I have been testing the waters with raw food for a few months and was doing well until this happened. Guest guest
Hi Angela, I have been going 99% raw vegan for 36 days, 95% vegetarian for 19 years. The transition was natural for me. Been thinking about your email over the last couple of days and have made up my mind that I'm interested. What a great idea, I've never done much journaling but I guess practice will go a long way. Email me if you're interested. Cheers Teda _____ rawfood [rawfood ] On Behalf Of torana009 Saturday, 17 December 2005 5:14 PM rawfood [Raw Food] Looking for a raw food buddy?? Hi everyone!
