Guest guest
If you are, you are invited to join the Raw Foods Boot Camp. Carlene lost 104 pounds in 6 months by eating 100% raw foods. It has become her mission to help others do the same thing. You can read more about Carlene on her web site: http://www.Ibeatobesity.com Then, if you'd like to join the boot camp, go to http://www.rawfoodsbootcamp.com There you can read about the program and the commitment. If you join Raw Food Bootcamp, you will be asked to commit to 30 days of simple, low fat, 100% Raw and daily exercise. " There are actually a lot of things you will need to do to prepare for your raw journey. Family members will need to be notified and and asked to guarantee their support. You will need to clean out your cupboards, make goal lists, organize your wardrobe, do some research, take pictures, and other small things to get your mind, your home, and your family committed to success. " Here is the Mission Statement of the boot camp's forum: >>The Raw Food Boot Camp Forum is a mostly private forum for obese men and women using a 100% simple, low fat, raw diet to beat their obestiy. Guest guest
I am overweight but not obese. So I don't think she'd let me join. I do need to lose a significant amount of weight though ...probably 50# of it, but not 100#. To those who are doing this , I wish you luck and please know you are in my prayers. - " Thompson, Debra " <Debrathompson <rawfood > Wednesday, December 28, 2005 6:28 AM RE: [Raw Food] Are You Obese and Willing to Commit to 100% Raw Foods? > She sent a correction link yesterday. in case you didn't see it, go to > www.rawfoodbootcamp.com > > Debra > > _____ > > rawfood on behalf of windflower song > Tue 12/27/2005 9:04 PM > rawfood > Re: [Raw Food] Are You Obese and Willing to Commit to 100% Raw > Foods? > > > go to Carlene's website. Guest guest
obese is a clinical term, defined by being 20% or more overweight. 50# would meet this requirement for most Just fyi... - " Kristine " <gfoster <rawfood > Wednesday, December 28, 2005 5:03 AM Re: [Raw Food] Are You Obese and Willing to Commit to 100% Raw Foods? > I am overweight but not obese. Guest guest
I went to her site and tried to join. They say they are no longer accepting new membership. What's up with that?! She just invited us to check it out. Oh well I start my own " bootcamp " on January 1st! Wish me luck! Gail in MD
Guest guest
I'll check on that for you, Gail. I know that after I posted the message, Carlene was inundated with people who only wanted to lose 14 or 20 pounds. The criteria for membership was that a person be 75 or more pounds overweight. " Morbidly obese " rather than just " obese. " That may have been lowered ... I'm not sure. At any rate, I'll get back with you. Guest guest
I think I remember reading on her website something about being at least 70 pounds overweight. I know she specifically mentioned several times *morbid* obesity. How is that defined? I joined yesterday. I've got about 120 (at least) to lose! I think that's about how much she had to lose, but I'm a little taller. But still! It's encouraging though to see pictures throughout her progress and to know that she lost it very quickly, and is still losing! -- " ~SUZY~ " <Suzy wrote: obese is a clinical term, defined by being 20% or more overweight. 50# would meet this requirement for most Just fyi... Guest guest
I'm not sure who all on this list has already joined the Raw Food Boot Camp, but I just wanted to let everyone know that the deadline for a *free* membership is December 31st. You have to become a member and start by that date. I mentioned that I was planning to start on the 2nd of January and she sent me an email saying that if I started after the 31st it would cost me $25/month! So if you're considering joining, better think about it fast!
