Guest guest
the human body doesn't have just one universal ph balance. each system and even individual organs have a different Ph at any given time. there is no way to judge the Ph of the system as a whole. there is a nice article about it on quackwatch.com. yes, an alkali Ph system kills cancer cells. it also kills every other kind of cell. Guest guest
I am so glad that The Wrong Hands [with_favas_bean] pointed us to that site. http://www.quackwatch.org/ Thanks to Dr. Herbert, I see that I am woefully low in my consumption of dairy product, and that I have been horribly mislead about the importance of " nutrients " and should be simply follow the USDA guidelines about meat and dairy consumption more closely. All sarcasm aside, the scientific method is the best method for looking behind the agenda and seeing physical truth of alternative claims, but sometimes people are using the " veneer " of science to push their pharmaceutical / Dairy Council agenda. SCIENTIFICALLY, it can be proven that diabetics who stay on a raw vegan diet find that they are no longer dependent on insulin injections and can remain free of almost all of the terrible effects of diabetes as long as they stay raw vegan. While the loose guidelines of the USDA Food Pyramid that Dr. Herbert recommends can leave many diabetics insulin-injection dependent for life. If you owned pharmaceutical stock, or made your money from managing the ill-health of others, which would you recommend? (That is, if you have no ethics....) I am not a fan of supplement-pushers either, but Quackwatch.com is not balanced science. Beware false prophets AND those hired to hang prophets. rawfood [rawfood ] On Behalf Of The Wrong Hands Tuesday, February 21, 2006 9:48 AM rawfood Re: [Raw Food] Ph(ooey!) the human body doesn't have just one universal ph balance. each system and even individual organs have a different Ph at any given time. there is no way to judge the Ph of the system as a whole. there is a nice article about it on quackwatch.com. yes, an alkali Ph system kills cancer cells. it also kills every other kind of cell. Guest guest
Minnie, One thing that I forgot to mention is that you should not only eat foods from the alkaline side of the chart. You don't want your body to become too alkaline. I believe it should be 80% from the alkaline side and 20% from the mildly acidic side. Correct me someone if the percentages are off. Everything in moderation. Too alkaline of a system can cause just as many health problems as an acidic system. I do not use quackwatch.com for any health information, nor have I ever heard of the entire body having various degrees of ph. But I did want to let you know not to go to the extreme by only eating highly alkaline foods. But I > did want to let you know not to go to the extreme by only eating > highly alkaline foods. Hello Family, I have been monitoring my PH via urine for a few years now and I do only for myself and I find it very accurate in telling me how my diet is going. After a weekend of " social " events were one is " trapped " into whatever food is available, I can see the tape turn acidic. I can also see how fast a good shot of wheatgrass or a rich green salad can change that. It not only shows your " diet " in the PH but also your mood. Case in point... A while back I was eating the " exact " same food(s) Monday thru Fridays and like clockwork every morning I'd pee and " bam " 7.1 or so. Not a surprise, same foods etc. Saturday and Sunday would roll along with alot of " recreational eating " and it would go acidic, or under 7.0 etc. During one of these weeks our company took on the task of working with IBM's old mainframe computers and merging a new product onto that and we all " HATED-IT " and I started to immediately notice that I was " acidic " where I was usually alkaline. I had no idea what in the hell was causing that for my " diet " was the same. Then it dawned on me that it was the new project that we all were griping about and being forced to work on. It just took that observance for me to " zen out " with this project, change my mindset and " bam " my PH got back to 7.1 again, give or take a shade of grass or two. I learned alot from that experience about what effects my PH and I carry around, and always will, a small PH tester just to humor myself and keep track of things. A small roll lasts me about 6 months, I need only 1 " or less to do the " swipe " to see what's up. I also keep a little chart online to help out when friends need some guidelines http://billschoolcraft.com/ph/ And I keep this chart visable in the kitchen, it's a downloadable " jpg " of the food chart. http://www.wiliweld.com/ph.jpg Namaste > > S~~ > > rawfood , The Wrong Hands <with_favas_bean > wrote: > > > > the human body doesn't have just one universal ph balance. each > system and even individual organs have a different Ph at any given > time. there is no way to judge the Ph of the system as a whole. there > is a nice article about it on quackwatch.com. > > yes, an alkali Ph system kills cancer cells. it also kills every > other kind of cell. > > D > > > German <tgerman1029 wrote: > > Minnie, > > > > How do you test your pH? I have heard that too, BUT you can still accuarately check your general ph through urine and saliva, urine is more acidic so you can expect some differences when you test both. Guest guest
each system, organ and even some cells, have different Ph. testing saliva and urine is not an accurate measure. my dr did say ph can be measured generally, but it's an invasive procedure done internally. eewww. anything in the stomach is acidic. it can't be anything else. everything leaving the tummy is alkali. in between, it a toss up at any given time. minnie9090 <minnie9090 wrote: rawfood , The Wrong Hands <with_favas_bean wrote: > > the human body doesn't have just one universal ph balance.
