Guest guest
When doing a fast, such as water or lemonade or what have you. Dose the hunger pass after a short time or does your tummy keep grumbling all day long?? I have never fasted before. Here is my situation: I have graves disease, I had my thyroid destroyed. Now I take Synthroid every day since they destroyed my thyroid with radiation. Anyways, this was a process that took over the last 3 years of my life. During the process with my thyroid, I gained a lot of weight. I need to lose well over 100 pounds. No diet worked, exercise is difficult, but I do as much as I can. I have to exercise in 5-15 min intervals. Due to having no thyroid, I have a very slow to sluggish metabolism. Eating Raw has been the first thing in 3 years that I have had any results with. I would like to drop about 20 pounds quickly, just make it easier to exercise and so that some of my clothes will fit...(I gained so much so fast that I have a very limited wardrobe) but if I lose about 20 pounds I will have plenty of clothes to wear. After that I intend to stay raw and let my weight come off as slow or fast as my body is willing to let it. I just have never fasted before and want to clean out my system, I am sure due to the radiation that they used on my thyroid, that I have a lot of toxins to flush out. So if I do this, I want to get the best results I can. SO I would like to detox and cleanse and lose some weight all at once. Which would be my best bet? Water? Lemonade Master Cleanse? Any other suggestions?? I am desperate to get a shred of my old self back. Any advice anyone of you have will be welcomed! Thanks! Mail Use Photomail to share photos without annoying attachments. Guest guest
YMMV, but I had low level hunger, nothing unmanageable from day one to day 36 of my water fast. Guest guest
Hi Robert & Chloey, I would like to know more about your extended water fast. What was it like? What type of results did you see? Did you find it to be very strenuous and draining? How much water did you drink per day? Did you supplement or add celtic sea salt to your water? What type of water did you drink? Whew! I guess that's all the questions that I can think of for now. Thanks! Not as difficult as I imagined it would be. I had some dizziness. When I did not feel good, I added some juices. Lost 30 lbs. What type of results did you see? Weight loss, better blood sugar control. I am less toxic after the fast as evidenced by less odor. But I'm not completely detoxed. When the eyes clear and the tongue is not white you are detoxed. Did you find it to be very strenuous and draining? Actually I had much more energy than when eating. I did most of the normal things I usually do. I did not exercise or exert extra energy. The body does not have any extra energy stores when you are getting your supply of energy from your fat cells. How much water did you drink per day? Various, it did not seem to matter. Did you supplement or add celtic sea salt to your water? No supplements What type of water did you drink? Both distilled and well water. If you are interested in fasting do some reading. I also had no Doctor support. I will do it again in a few months. Whew! I guess that's all the questions that I can think of for now. Thanks! Guest guest
Thank you so much for this information. It was definitely helpful, and I will have to try this fast soon. I have done juice fasting, but not water. And I was concerned because my work is somewhat physical. Thank you again, and all my best to you and Chloey.
