Guest guest
Jennifer, It may inhibit losing weight. I'm no expert, but I think that It depends on what else is eaten through out the day and how active one is. If you are getting an adequate amounts of exercise, and eating lots of different fruits and vegetables, 2 bananas and an avocado may be fine. I personally think that you should try to switch things around, and not have a banana or avocado EVERY DAY. See how you do both ways...and take it from there. Maybe you can handle more, or should have less, depending on how your body responds. Young Coconuts and nuts are also good for fat/energy, but too many will increase the weight gain (this is my experience at least). If you want to lose weight, you probably need to try to have more veggies, and then second, fruit. I'm in the same boat as you...I'm trying to lose weight. I think i need to cut back on fruit and nuts. I'm still trying to figure it out...lol! Hope that helps....... Guest guest
Hi Jen, This is going to be more difficult than I thought! I've been eating a few bananas a day because they're just so easy and portable. And as I mentioned earlier, I don't like salads - adding sliced avocado to it is about the only way I will eat them! I just don't find veggies appetizing without some form of fat with them. I want to lose weight, but I also don't want to go into starvation mode - I'm worried that I wouldn't get enough calories and fat without the avocados. And avocados provide me with the " substance " that I feel I miss without any meat or pasta/potatoes/rice. >Jen Lynn <jenfly777 >rawfood >rawfood >[Raw Food] Jennifer...about eating two bananas and an avocado >daily....... >Sun, 26 Feb 2006 06:50:57 -0800 (PST) > > > Jennifer, > > It may inhibit losing weight. Guest guest
Jennifer, I understand how you enjoy having bananas and avocados. They are filling, you're absolutely right. How about having two of each per day and seeing how you do? Its important that you're getting enough to eat. What about eating apples (good fiber), smoothies and juices (quick energy and nutrition w/o overworking your system). How about making raw crackers ahead of time and eating those as a " portable " food. Go online and see what dishes you could make that aren't " salads. " " Raw food, real world " is a great book. Eating often (to keep your metabolism going), Drinking lots of water, going to the bathroom (# 2 - sorry for being so technical), and exercising will help keep weight off. Give it time. Good luck!!! Guest guest
Iceberg has the nutritional content of cardboard and it can often be the need for nutrients that fuel our hunger not for calories. The most filling things I find are nuts soaked seeds and sprouts and then add real salad greens to bulk it up - kdidcoct rawfood Monday, February 27, 2006 3:45 PM Re: [Raw Food] Jennifer...about eating two bananas and an avocado daily....... rawfood , Jen Lynn <jenfly777 wrote: >Jennifer, I was having similar problems with eating salad and not filling full. Guest guest
I don't use iceberg...I think it's lettuce/mixed greens in general that I find lacking! >kdidcoct <no_reply > >rawfood >rawfood >Re: [Raw Food] Jennifer...about eating two bananas and an avocado >daily....... >Mon, 27 Feb 2006 15:45:15 -0000 > >rawfood , Jen Lynn <jenfly777 wrote: > >Jennifer, >I was having similar problems with eating salad and not filling >full.
