Guest guest
Would some of you post some of your health benefits that you have since eating a mostly raw or comletely raw diet? and how long it took for you to see a difference? I am wondering if any of you that have suffered from environmental allergies in the past (dust, animal dander, pollen, etc) have noticed that you no longer have these allergies. I am wondering about arthritis and if you have noticed a difference there as well, diabetes, high blood pressure, clogged arteries, etc. Belinda
Guest guest
Hi Belinda, I have noticed a definite improvement in the field of allergies since I went raw. I no longer wake up with the inability to breath or suffer from sinus headaches. I live in the Ohio Valley, aka Allergy capital of the US, so it is a wonderful thing for me! I also am no longer allergic to spinach! which is good, I love spinach! Guest guest
Hi Taevia, Sounds wonderful. I live in the other allergy capital. Tennesse.) I have always had, what we call around here, " hay fever " . LOL, which is allergies to not only hay, but lots of other stuff. Can we say ACHOO! I have always hated it, because I love the outdoors so much and animals. As I have gotten older, the allergies have progressed to more than just sneezing. It now sometimes affects my breathing. Most likely, asthma, I guess. You know, when you feel like you are trying to breath through a pillow. I really have a hard time when the honeysuckles start blooming. And oh how I LOVE the smell of honeysuckles. Belinda rawfood , " T. M. " <jinx wrote: > > Hi Belinda, > I have noticed a definite improvement in the field of allergies since > I went raw. Guest guest
Hi, Belinda! I can relate to the allergies in TN since that's where I live, too. Last year, I had such a terrible sinus infection that was brought on by allergies that I had to be (I thought) on a couple of courses of strong antibiotics. It will be interesting to see how I handle it this year after eating raw for most of a year, by that time. I do know that January was the first time in my life that I didn't get the " after holidays " cold. I know now that it must have been the result of all the junk food I'd ingest over Thanksgiving and Christmas. I haven't had a single cold since eating raw. And that's following a childhood and on into adulthood that was one chronic episode after another of colds, fevers, and a perennial snotty nose. My skin is so much smoother than it used to be. I hadn't really noticed that until last week. The change has been gradual. Most of them are. Like the weight coming off. I have lost more than 50 pounds but I've averaged less than a pound a week, most weeks. I could go on and on but I need to get to bed. One more thing--I love smelling honeysuckle in the spring, too! Guest guest
Oh that is what happened to me this Christmas. Or rather right after. During the holidays, I went back to eating all the Thanksgiving and Christmas foods. At very little raw during that time. Made me feel terrible, but I did it anyway. How weak I am. So then right after Christmas I got, what my family refers too, as the Christmas Crud. Fever, stuffy sinuses, bronchitis, etc. I guess when you eat crud, you get crud. Guest guest
Belinda, There's always next year! It was liberating, not being tempted by all the junk I used to eat. And it shocked everyone that I was able to withstand the temptation! I even amazed myself. The truth is, everyone thought it took willpower but it didn't. I have gotten so I don't even look at that stuff as food. It may have started out as food but it ended up a mess. I like what you said. " I guess when you eat crud, you get crud. " That's good. I'll have to remember that. See you, Tommie http://www.rawburchard.blogspot.com rawfood , " Belinda " <MistyBlueTN wrote: > > Oh that is what happened to me this Christmas. Or rather right > after.
