I don't have a recipe, but have you considered dehydrating the sprouted

wheat and then grinding it in the Vita Mix to make flour. It will give

you a lighter cracker. Also, my book says to soak flax seed for 6-8

hours.

You could give it a shot, although, if i were you, I'd use more flax seeds

(maybe a cup or more?) and soak them a little longer. And when you soak them,

include all the other ingredients. It will make things alot easier. Good luck!

From my experiments, I would second Jen's suggestion to use more flax

seed. I have played with only using a little flax seed, but it seems

like, for me, for two-three trays of crackers, the best binder which

will make a decent cracker (as opposed to something that will crumble

when you look at it) or chip, I need to use at least 2 cups of flax

seed and soak the seeds for several hours (the shortest time I have

done it was 2 hours, but, if you soak longer, the seeds get gooey-er,

and then you have a better base for your crackers, to which you can

add just about any seasoning you like. (I put in 1 cup of ground up

sun-dried tomatoes in the last batch, with Italian seasoning - mmmm)

I never soak my golden flax seed. I just grind them up in the vitamix. And

then mix it with all the rest of the incredients. I soaked them the first time

and seems not as easy to work with as just grinding them up to flour.

I found it to be much easier not grinding them. Then again I was just making

" flax seeds with chopped celery, and spices " to make " flax crackers " After

soaking all the ingredients for about 6 hours, I pour it on to the teflex sheet.

no mess. What a piece of cake. Well, that's just my experience...;-) Now if I

want to make other crackers, I'll definitely grind them up before hand.

Well I am never that great in following recepes so I will try;

2 cups golden flax seeds

1 cup destemmed cilantro

2 cups broccoli (top pieces only)

2 cups celery

2 cups of spinach

1 cup sun dried tomatoes

2 cups bell peppers

1 cup shredded carrots

1/4 tsp sea salt

1/8 tsp cayenne (optional)

put flax seed thru blender until flour set aside

put sun dried tomatoes in blender until powder. Add to flax

put all the rest through a food processor and then add it all to the flax seed.

Mix it well plus the celtic sea salt. Put in the dehydrator and let go at 108F

for about 5-6 hours then remove from the teflon???? sheets and flip over

directly onto the trays.

Make sure you do not make the crackers thick. Taste great with raw hummus,

salsa etc.
