Guest guest
Had anyone made their own Ezekiel Tortillas? I have a recipe for the bread. Any suggestions on how I can make them? The health food store is just to far away for me to get them fresh weekly and I really don't want to freeze them. Oh, Judy, the meatballs and sauce were great. Next time I will warm the sauce in the dehydrator. I have leftovers and even think the sauce will be good on a salad or in a veggie wrap. Chocolate fudge for desert!!! My peanut butter cookies turned out good. Oatmeal cookies will be next, with some chopped walnuts. Trish Burrows sunflowers2 P.O. Guest guest
Trish - I KNOW YOU ARE HAVING SO MUCH FUN! I know I am over here in Arizona! I have to say that the chocolate mousse - really takes the cake for chocolate too. Try it - it is sososososo easy (like the fudge) and it blows people away when you finally tell them that it is from avocados. AMAZING pudding!!! and tastes so super. I updated my blog - sheesh - I am addicted to that camera! What is the recipe for the bread? Judy On 3/19/06, Trish Burrows <sunflowers2 wrote: > > Had anyone made their own Ezekiel Tortillas? Guest guest
Hi guys. I'm kinda new to the list, and I'm trying desperately to catch up on all the back messages, but it's going to take a bit of time... Can you guys PLEASE tell me where all these awesome-sounding recipes are before I go crazy?? Peanut butter cookies (a cooked food addiction, would love to try a raw version), meatballs & sauce, chocolate mousse?? No wonder you guys are having so much fun. I would love to know where I can find these recipes. Thanks for your help! Guest guest
It's my blog. Mawintheraw.blogspot.com/ I'm new at this too - I originally started to blog it so that my five married daughters could see what we were doing at home! Now three of them are starting to do this faithfully too. I try to add to it on a daily basis. Judy in Arizona On 3/19/06, Debra <jube333 wrote: > > Hi guys. Guest guest
Peanuts can contain aflatoxins. Personally, they are on my " don't eat " list. Guest guest
OK, this is from Rainbow Green again, page 25: " Peanuts on the average contain twenty-six different carcinogenic fungi, especially aflatoxin. Research presented in Cancer (1971) showed a connection with liver cancer and peanuts containing aflatoxins.... " Ever notice how there are fake peanut butters made from soybeans at the health food store? That's why. Nature's First Law even sells " certified aflatoxin-free " peanuts. We stopped eating peanuts a while back. Guest guest
Hi Jen, Yes , I never ever touch peanuts. It's just not good for you. By the way you also need to be careful with cashews (I love cashews) They are acidic. Guest guest
Thank you so much. As I continue to eat like this....I learn line upon line, precept upon precept. Thanks to all. Guest guest
Peanuts, either raw or roasted, have aflotoxin caused by a mold called aspergillus. This mold can also be present on corn as well. If you have had peanut butter then it is likely you have digested this mold at some point and time in your life. It can cause respiratory issues in those with a compromised immune system and other nasties. Most people are not bothered by it. So peanuts in general can be dangerous if your are sensitive to mold. Guest guest
Hi Robert, Yes, I rarely eat cashews now. So many things on Gabriel Cousens' " do not eat " list have turned out to be troublesome for me. Maybe three months after I went raw, I went to a vegan restaurant and had a wheat gluten sandwich on wheat bread (not raw, obviously!). I was in a brain fog for 24 hours after eating it--I could barely use my PC. If I hadn't gone completely raw, and off of all grains, for those three months, I never would have noticed that I had a wheat sensitivity, until I got re-exposed to it. A little while later, after not eating corn for months, I had some raw corn on the cob. I immediately felt depressed, where just moments before (and for months in a row) I had felt great. So I realized I was sensitive to corn. Those are just a couple of examples. What I notice is that I feel better when I keep away from things that may be moldy, like stored grains, corn, peanuts, cocao, over-the-hill sprouts, etc. Blessings, Jennifer _____ rawfood [rawfood ] On Behalf Of rbwest01 Sunday, March 19, 2006 10:46 PM rawfood Re: RE: [Raw Food] Ezekiel Tortillas & Peanut Butter cookies...
